What is Solitaire?

Solitaire is a single-player card game that is played by one person. The object of the game is to move all of the cards from the tableau to the foundation, which will be located at the last six spaces on the tableau.

The game starts by dealing a row of cards face down on top of a 10x4 grid. The player will then turn up one card at a time and put them in order by suit and rank. Cards with higher value will be placed in front of cards with lower value, which are then removed from play.

The game ends when all cards have been removed from play (including any cards placed on top of foundations). The player who has the lowest total score wins the game.

Solitaire games can be played with a single deck or multiple decks of cards. They can also be played with any combination of Jokers and wild cards. Some games allow you to reshuffle if you run out of moves, while others require you to make the best move available at any given time.

The most popular variants of Solitaire include:

Klondike (also known as Patience)

Egyptian Pyramid

FreeCell (or Free Cell)

There are dozens of different versions of Solitaire.

The most popular variant is Klondike, which is a version of solitaire played with one deck of cards.

Klondike Solitaire is a game that has been around for over 100 years. It was originally called Patience and was first published in England by Charles Bennett in 1892.

The rules are simple: you have one deck of cards laid out face up in a specific arrangement, with one card missing from the middle row. The object is to move all 52 cards onto other rows by suit, starting with the king. You can move cards from one row to another if the next card in sequence on the bottom row matches suit (ie if there's two red hearts on the bottom row, you can move any red or black heart onto either column). You must always move cards down by one spot if possible; for example, if there's one red heart on the bottom row and two in its column above, you can't move it into that column because there are no free spots left there.
